Southern Middle Map
This
section focuses on the area of the island running from Atol
(north) to E. Harbor St. (south). As with all the maps,
you can press the Map, Satellite, and Hybrid buttons to get a
different view of the
map.
Common
areas of interest include Dolphin
Research and Nature Center, VLF Bird Sanctuary, Ocean Palms
Plaza II, The Island Family Practice, South Padre Island
Clinic, and the Blue Marlin Supermarket. In addition, it
has 4 beach access points and 1 public boat ramp on the
bayside.
The next
section of South Padre Island offers its share of shopping
stores as well. Currently, there are 2 jewelery stores, 3 gift
shops, 11 clothing stores and 1 store for kites and toys. Plus,
there is a wide variety of food options with at least 1
restaurant serving breakfast food, 6 seafood restaurants, 2
Mexican restaurants, 1 chinese restaurant, a barbecue place, 2
burger joints, 2 delis, an ice cream shop, and 4 bars. In
addition, there is a 1 liquor store, a tobacco shop, a main
grocery store, and 2 convenience stores.
With all
this selection and a great view of the
gulf, it is easy to
see why so many people choose to stay in this section of the
Island.
